Sustainability Principles

Sustainability has always been at the heart of Stratex. The roots of the business were established in one of the globes most game changing inventions – Paper. Ever since Ts’ai Lun invented Paper in 104 AD there has been no secret that the environmental benefits of utlising Paper from a renewable resource in packaging materials are enormous.  Whether it is our commitment to investing in the future of New Zealand or Australian manufacturing or creating environmentally sustainable products from the core materials that our business was founded on our commitment remains unwavering.

 The Stratex Sustainability principles provide a key overview of the positive impact and influence that we seek to continually have on both our internal and external environments through financial, environmental and social factors.

 Stratex will also apply the principles to regularly benchmark and measure our performance in meeting both our sustainability challenges and interaction with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, government, the community and shareholders.

 The Environment 

Convert waste into value and also manage and minimise our impacts on the environment by creating environmentally sustainable products and services and manufacturing our products in the most efficient way possible. At Stratex our waste management plan provides for the business to segregate all waste into its various recyclable components. The components are then uplifted from our sites and enter the recycling stream via partnerships with local recycling industries. Our energy source is predominately supplied from New Zealands fully renewable hydro power schemes and this ensures our carbon footprint is kept to a minimum.

 The People

At Stratex we aim to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive society for our employees; the local communities in which we operate and the broader community through the sponsorhip of our waste material to local schools and play centres, charity event participation and support of our people in there personal endeavours in volunteer community support roles.
