Stratex is in the business of supplying forms of packaging that enhance clients’ product performance or function particularly in market segments that require maximum protection, extension of shelf life, and the ability to enhance the aesthetic appeal for shelf impact.

This is achieved through the use and combination of different materials such as foil with paper, polyester with paper, and/or polymers with paperboard.

An area of continuous focus, Stratex is committed to producing new and innovative products that meet the needs of the fast moving consumer goods and retail markets.

Dairy

Stratex has many years of experience working with the Dairy industry. Our understanding of this industry means we are able to be pro-active – anticipating future needs with product initiatives in the area of recyclable resins and barrier coatings.

Ongoing research and development, along with continued performance assessment, ensures we design products that keep pace with the dynamic dairy market.

Consistent with our philosophy of delivering better performing products, a number of products have been specifically developed for the New Zealand and Australian Dairy Industry.

Fishing

Working in conjunction with other packaging manufacturers, our team has helped develop initiatives for the fishing industry.  Specialised products produced include polymer coated board for use in Hoki boxes to prevent freezer burn and specialty coated paperboards to contain and maintain fresh Prawns.

A focus on reduction in total system cost has seen Stratex involved in the development of an alternative to the polystyrene box.  By laminating paperboard to a metallised film, a product with a combination of structural strength, water-tightness and thermal insulation properties has been created.

Industrial / Medical

Product development for heavy and light industry continues to be a key aspect of Stratex’ business. A supplier to numerous Australian and New Zealand blue chip manufacturers, Stratex continually focus on developing its better performing products for this technically advanced market.

Stratex has a long- term association with the medical industry through supplying and developing products over the past 15 years.

Specific knowledge and experience in heat sealable coatings and specialist papers, and the demands of the industry have earned Stratex an enviable reputation for quality and service.

Stratex Heatshield range of products are specifically designed to exceed British Standards (BS) safety requirements for Insulation materials. Typically a composite of reinforced polymers, foil, and paper, the Heatshield range is exceptionally strong and has excellent thermal insulation properties.

The range of products is also well suited to the manufacture of Air-conditioning ducts and sleeves. Protection dust and odours is also able to be achieved.
